As an American Canyon resident for many years, raised my two children , I see all of the projects listed who are in need of financial assistance from grant money very important, especially during these troubling times of limited funds for non profits. I am especially drawn to the after school programs, the food assist program, and the environmental projects. I look at the Napa-Solano Audubon Society as fulfilling many of my interests and I believe the interests of many others. Having seen one of Audubon's recent presentation at City Council, I learned an incredible amount about the amazing number of birds that exist in the wetlands. It gave me more encouragement that we need to save every piece of wetlands here in American Canyon. They have worked with students in American Canyon teaching them about conservation, bird habitat and respect for the incredible wetlands we all have known to love.

    Thank you .

As an American Canyon resident, I deeply respect the diversity of projects addressing so many important areas that deserve our attention, including food insecurity, physical and mental well-being, as well as environmental education and appreciation of our local wetlands.

We are indeed fortunate in American Canyon to have the diversity of nonprofit organizations supporting and enriching our community, and I look forward to the presentations of each one.

Since this $30,000 community grant initiative is new, my request is to support several projects, not just one.

For me, projects addressing a basic need, like food insecurity, is fundamental.

We are at an unprecedented time in our understanding of the environment and its importance. At an earlier presentation to our City Council, stunning photos were shared of the various birds that live at our wetlands by the Napa Solano Audubon Society.

Please support their proposal. I have attended a couple of their walks and would recommend them. I know others have sighted bald eagles at the Wetlands, and I personally would like to learn as much as I can about our feathered neighbors.

    THank you for listening.
