Would like to have actual bathrooms at Silver Oak Park. As a parent and community member, I think it's essential to have a bathroom with a sink station. Everyday after school, the Silver Oaks park is full of kids and parents that enjoy the park. The porta potty is always dirty and the seat does not stay up. There is no sink or water fountain (one used to be there was removed) and it is an inconvenience and I've seen kids have accidents there as they do not want to use the porta potty due to its condition. Finally, on weekends, I've seen various sports teams have activities at this park. In speaking to parents after school, I have heard the same feedback. Adding a bathroom will also raise money for the city as more people would book this location for events as currently the Shanandoah Park is the only option for residents and the community.
